GENERAL INFORMATION, TERMS AND CONDITIONS

GENERAL INFORMATION/TERMS AND CONDITIONS – CHINA, JULY/AUGUST 2008

Registration and Payment: The tour cost is based on a minimum of 10 persons traveling together. Should the group fall short, a supplement may be charged. A completed reservation form and a deposit of $200 per person are required to ensure a reservation. A second payment of $300 is due on or before Oct. 1, 2007. Full payment is due May 20, 2008.

Cancellation notice: Notification of cancellation must be submitted to our office in writing. Cancellation fees are per person: For cancellations received up to Sept. 30, 2007, the cancellation fee is $200; cancellations received between Oct. 1, 2007-May 20, 2008, the cancellation fee is $500; cancellations received between May 21-June 20, 2008, 75% of the tour cost will be forfeited; cancellations received between June 21, 2008 and day of departure, 100% of the tour cost will be forfeited.

Insurance: Trip cancellation insurance and medical insurance are available through Innovations in Travel Inc. and are strongly recommended. Insurance information will be sent to you upon receipt of your reservation.

Refunds: Refunds are based on the actual price of services involved and not on a per diem basis. Refunds, once the tour has commenced, are not issued for unused accommodations, missed meals, missed sightseeing or other unused services. Airline refunds are subject to each individual carrier’s policies. Requests for a refund must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the conclusion of the tour.

Responsibilities: Innovations in Travel Inc. (1203 West St., Suite D, Annapolis MD 21401), outfitters, operators of the tours and/or suppliers of services act only as agents in regard to travel, whether by plane, car, motorcoach, ship or railroad and assume no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity that may be occasioned either by reason of defect of any vehicle, act of war, insurrection, revolt or other civil uprising, other military action, strikes or any Act of God occurring in either the country of origin, destination or through passage, or for any reason whatsoever, or through the acts or default of any company or persons engaged in conveying the passengers or in carrying out arrangements of the tour. They cannot accept any responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air schedules or other causes. All such losses or expenses will be the responsibility of the tour member. The right is reserved to make adjustments to the itinerary or substitute hotels and to cancel any tour prior to departure. Innovations in Travel Inc. may not be held responsible for any loss or damage to luggage before, during or after the tour program. The acceptance of final vouchers or tickets shall be deemed to be consent to these conditions. The right is reserved to decline to accept or retain any person as a tour member should such person’s health, mental condition, physical infirmity or general deportment impede the operation of the tour or the rights or welfare or enjoyment of other tour members, and a refund of unused land tour services is the limit of Innovations in Travel’s liability. Tour prices are subject to change. The cost of this program is based on the Chinese yuan, exchange rate in effect on 1 Oct. 2006. The cost is subject to adjustment depending on the rate of exchange. 

Airline Responsibility Clause: The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not aboard their conveyance. The passenger contract in use by the airlines concerned when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and the purchaser of the ticket.

Disclosure: Participation in a trip of this nature may involve certain risks and dangers, including but not limited to the forces of nature, political unrest and accidents. Innovations in Travel Inc. will not be responsible for medical care and/or evacuation. Medical and cancellation insurance to cover all situations is highly recommended. It is understood that Innovations in Travel Inc. will use its best efforts to ensure that all reasonable measures are taken to avoid such occurrences. By signing the Tour Contract you are voluntarily participating in activities with the knowledge of the dangers involved and thereby agree to accept any and all risks. As lawful consideration for the agreement with Innovations in Travel Inc. to participate in such trips and activities, you hereby agree that you will not make a claim against Innovations in Travel Inc. and/or its employees for bodily injury, death or property damage arising from your participation in a tour. Acceptance of the Tour Contract will serve as the release of Liability and Assumption of Risk agreement. This agreement is binding on your heirs, legal representatives and assigns.

Included: Hotel accommodations, meals as shown in itinerary (B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner) preselected or set menu meals, table d’hote or buffets for luncheons, dinners and special event meals, motorcoach sightseeing, transfers between airports and hotels, entertainment as outlined in the itinerary, entrance fees, hotel service charges and taxes, local English-speaking guides for sightseeing, all tips to airport porters. Porterage is based on 1 normal size suitcase per person.

Sightseeing, Special Entertainment and Transportation: As shown in the itinerary. All entrance fees to places visited per the itinerary. English-speaking guides or driver/guides are provided at each destination. Transportation is by motor coach (air conditioned where available) or other modes of transportation as described in the itinerary. Transportation between airports and hotels, when arriving or departing on designated tour flights, is included.

Air: Air transportation as shown in the itinerary is included when purchased as a total land/air package from the selected international departure gateway city. Internal air within the foreign countries to be visited is billed as a separate charge unless otherwise indicated. U.S. departure tax, immigration and customs fees are not included unless otherwise stated.

Luggage: The handling and porterage of 1 suitcase per person in accordance with the size and weight restrictions of international airline regulations.

Pre-trip Information and Final Documents: Detailed pre-tour information will be sent upon receipt of deposit and includes passport and visa requirements, health advisories, luggage size and weight restrictions, weather information, clothing suggestions, foreign currency exchange rates and insurance advice. Three weeks before departure, final documents will be sent. Final documents consist of final itineraries, hotel lists, mailing lists, air tickets when applicable, travel accessories and other pertinent information.

PASSPORT & VISA: A passport must be valid six months after return to the home country. A visa is required for China. Innovations will provide the necessary forms.

Not Included: Wine, liquor, soft drinks, mineral water (unless indicated in the itinerary), room service, passport and visa expenses, excess baggage charges, insurance, all items of a personal nature.

IMPORTANT NOTES: Innovations in Travel Inc. cannot be held responsible for cancellations or amendments of ground services that are beyond its direct control.
